How the Agent Works

The Workspace agent is a «read → edit → build → fix» loop.

Task loop

  1. Checkpoint — a snapshot of the working folder is created automatically before the task.
  2. Reading — the agent reads project files (tree, contents), searching files when needed.
  3. Edits — files are edited with three-level matching (exact → per-line → whitespace-insensitive). With auto-apply off, every edit is confirmed.
  4. Build — the plugin is built via RunUAT; compiler errors (MSVC, UHT) are parsed per file and line.
  5. Fix until success — the agent fixes errors and rebuilds until the build passes (or the iteration limit triggers).
  6. Report — the task result appears in the feed; binaries are copied into the plugin.

Control

  • Run agent — Ctrl+Enter; Stop agent — the stop button.
  • The iteration limit is configurable (or fully removable).
  • Compress session — a long session is summarized and the context cleared (files untouched).

Memory between tasks

  • Plugin memory — project facts are saved and reused in later tasks.
  • Solved-errors base — proven fixes are applied when the same errors reappear.
Any message in the agent feed can be 📌 added to notes via the message button.
